A Christmas Carol

Taunton Brewhouse

This December, go on a thrilling journey to the past, present, and future with our brand new musical, A Christmas Carol.

It’s a cold Christmas Eve and a young girl’s train from Taunton to London is delayed. While aboard, she escapes the chaos of the crammed carriage by opening the pages of a mysterious old book and a magical journey for the whole family begins.

Meet the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge as he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, and three spirits – each with an important message. Will they persuade Scrooge to change his ways, or will he be doomed… forever?

Inspired by Charles Dickens’ classic yuletide tale, and gleefully adapted for the stage by the acclaimed Pleasure Dome Theatre Company, this joyous retelling will fright and delight audiences of all ages. Expect enchanting puppetry, original music, and a sprinkling of Somerset magic, directed by award-nominated theatre-maker Scott Le Crass.

Don’t be a Scrooge! Join us for a mince pie (or two!) and celebrate the true spirit of Christmas at Taunton Brewhouse.
